In difficult times, it is important to stick together and find solutions. That this is also possible inmotorsport has now been impressively demonstrated by the VLN as the organisation of the Nürburgring Endurance Series, the ADAC Nordrhein and the Nürburgring. With high pressure work has been done to adapt the racing calendar for the legendary Nordschleife to the current difficult situation regarding the coronavirus. The successful reschedule of the 2020 highlight in the Eifel region was hereby of particular importance. A new date could be found for the ADAC TOTAL 24h Race. The classical endurance race is now to take place in the Green Hell from 24th to 27th September. Originally, a race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series was planned for this weekend. After the first two races of the world’s largest motorsport championship had to be cancelled, another race will now be held on 7thNovember.

“Fast, in an uncomplicated and unbureaucratic manner, all parties involved have worked out a very good solution for the motorsport fans in the Eifel and the region around the Nürburgring. This underlines that we are strong partners who work closely together in a spirit of trust,” says Christian Stephani, VLN VV GmbH & Co. KG Managing Director.

“Good partnerships are working well in challenging times,” says Nürburgring Managing Director Mirko Markfort. “The ADAC Nordrhein and VLN are a good example of this. This would not have been possible without the solution-oriented thinking of all those involved. Now it is a benefit for the motorsport world and the entire region. A strong Nürburgring is more important than ever before.”

The final layout of the schedule of the Nürburgring Endurance Series will be determined in the coming days and weeks. This will then be published as soon as possible.
