Oestreich supports Gülden

Andy Gülden will receive prominent support at the third VLN race. Moritz Oestreich will join him as team mate for the 60thADAC ACAS H&R Cup race in the Seat Cupra TCR. Last season, the racing team from Cologne was the most successful TCR team in this most popular grassroot series of the world.

Oestreich has a vast experience at the Nordschleife. In 2015, the 25-years old competed together with Robin Strycek for the Team Schirmer in the Astra OPC Cup. At the 55thADAC Reinoldus-Langstreckenrennen, he succeeded in scoring one of his four VLN class wins in total. Last year, he won the class of Specials 3T in an Audi TT RS at the 49thADAC Barbarossapreis. In 2013 and 2014, he achieved a first place each with a Toyota GT86 in class V3.

In 2016, Oestreich performed as a guest driver in a Mercedes SLS GT3 before his return to a front-wheel drive car last year. He started for the Honda Team ADAC Sachsen in the ADAC TCR Germany. He won one race in this series and finished in the top ten several times. Finally, he became sixth in the championship.

“With his experience in front-wheel drive, two-litres cars, Moritz completes our team in an ideal way”, says a happy Team Principle Michael Paatz regarding their new driver. “He knows the track perfectly and he also knows what he has to do.” With mathilda racing still missing the first VLN race, Andy Gülden won the TCR class at the 32ndDMV 4-Stunden-Rennen as solo driver. With 9.44 championship points, he is now in sixth place in the class classification. “We are optimistic that we will be able to fight again for a top position at VLN race 3 with our new driver squad. We are back again”, says Patz.
