Return of a spectacular exotic race car

The VLN will be enriched by an exotic race car. The Renault R.S.01 GT3 will again be at the start of the Nürburgring endurance championship races in class SPX. “I am delighted that we have the opportunity to carry on this unique project and to fight against our competitors on the grand stage of endurance racing”, says Team Principle Danny Kubasik.

The team’s plans include a participation at the legendary Eifel track in the first VLN race on 24th March as well as in the 24h Qualification Race and in the 24h Race. Heiko Hammel and ´Dieter Schmidtmann´ will be the drivers again in this spectacular race car. “We have made a huge step forwards after the 24h Race in terms of performance – but also concerning reliability – and we would like to take up the competition from this point”, says Kubasik. The highlight for the team in 2017 was the second overall position at the 57th ADAC Reinoldus-Langstreckenrennen.
