All in black

After their victory in class H2 last year at the 49th ADAC Barbarossapreis, TJ Racing has great plans again for the current season of the Nürburgring endurance championship. They plan to start at all VLN races. The race cars will be two Opel Calibra and one Kadett GSI.

To further improve their competitiveness, one of the Opel Calibra underwent a big update. A new safety tank was fitted to the car and it was equipped with a newer gearbox generation, new brakes and the weight distribution was enhanced. The changes also included a new look. The Opel Calibra now comes in a completely black design.

Carlos Antunes Tavares, Chairman of the PSA Managing Board, and Team Principle Tobias Jung will be behind the steering wheel of the sports coupé from the Rüsselsheim factory. They will be supported by Herbie Schmidt who joins the team for the 2018 season. The Swiss contested in 2015 already four VLN races in a Toyota GT 86 and in a Lexus ISF.

“We are very curious to see the performance. The first test at Zandvoort was very promising. The whole team has been working flat out over the winter and finished up with a fantastic car. A lot of challenges are involved in building such a group H car”, says Tobias Jung.
