Laser shall contribute to make Frikadelli shining

With the engagement of the 31-years old Lance David Arnold (13 class wins in the VLN), Frikadelli Racing has already set an exclamation mark some days ago. The team of Klaus Abbelen now revealed the name of another famous driver for the Porsche 911 GT3 R. Felipe Laser will be at the start of the endurance championship Nürburgring and of the Nürburgring 24 Hour Race for the racing team.

The 29-years old with a degree in engineering has above all become well known due to his participations at the Nürburgring in the Glickenhaus SCG 003. Laser is a specialist for exotic race cars. In 2017, the man from Leipzig/ Germany was at the start of the Nordschleife amongst others with the spectacular Renault RS01. At the 57th ADAC Reinoldus-Langstreckenrennen and at the 40th RCM DMV Grenzlandrennen each, Laser took victories in the class of VLN Specials. Moreover, he participated for the teams Schuberth-BMW and Manthey Racing. Laser has a total record of eight class wins (Specials X, Specials 9, Cup2) and another eight top-three positions.

The driving instructor of the Porsche factory in Leipzig brought his racing skills to perfection in the nine-eleven. In 2012 and 2013, he competed in the Carrera Cup Deutschland. “Frikadelli Racing will start the new season with great commitment and ambitions – just as I myself”, says Laser who is also known to be an expert for the development of cars. “Our target for the VLN and for the 24 Hour Race is greater than to merely finish as the fastest nine-eleven. It is my utmost wish to win the classical race at the Nürburgring and I have the feeling that it is Porsche’s turn this year.”

“Felipe of course attracted our attention as a fast and reliable driver”, says Team Principle Klaus Abbelen. “With him and Lance David Arnold, we have been able to contract two ambitious drivers who will definitely be of significant help for us in the further development of our Porsche 911 GT3 R. We will continue to pursue our goal to fight for top positions at the Nordschleife and to be amongst the candidates for a victory – and we will therefore mobilise everything to achieve this.”
