The Gold Bear says goodbye!

The HARIBO RACING TEAM has announced its withdrawal from motorsport. After seven years, the racing team from Bonn/ Germany will abandon its motorsport activities. Last year, the team named Mercedes-AMG Performance Team still finished the 24h Race at the “Green Hell” ninth overall and it had competed in five of the nine VLN races. In the season 2016, the team scored a particular success with a third position at the classical Eifel race.

Drivers such as Nürburgring legend Uwe Alzen, AMG driver Maximilian Götz, Lance David Arnold or Renger van der Zande in the car with the fastest gold bear on the bonnet scored a number of fastest laps times at the legendary Eifel circuit – very much to the delight of the numerous fans along the track.

“The HARIBO group has decided not to pursue the motorsport engagement”, says Marco Alfter, Press Officer of the HARIBO Racing Team. “We should like to warmly thank the whole team, all of our partners and our loyal fans for the hard work undertaken together, for a fantastic success story and an inimitable team spirit.”
