Peter Scharmach, Kersten Jodexnis and Robin Chrzanowski will compete in the fifth VLN race with the old-established crew combination, but with a different car, a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup. “Due to the summer holidays, the current 991 GT 3 MR which had an accident at the 24h Race and at the 3rd VLN race could not be repaired in time for this weekend”, Jodexnis said. “During the last six months, Robin and his team have, however, built up the replacement car on a brand-new bodyshell with great commitment.”
The replacement car had been pushed off the track last year early in the morning at the 24h Race and then rolled at the Bellof S corner. This race car is now back again in its well-known design. With the 997 model range, the Porsche will however be classified in group H instead of class SP7.
