Kissling Motorsport presents new Opel Astra TCR

On occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Nürburgring, Kissling Motorsport which is based in Bad Münstereifel/ German presents a new, front-wheel driven Opel Astra TCR with 350 HP in the HJS colours at the VLN endurance championship. “Our customers are competing in top positions at the sprint races of the International TCR series. Our new Opel Astra TCR is considered to be a serious rival by our competitors. We will now also enter this top car in the long-distance championship”, says Kissling Motorsport Principle Stefan Kissling and thus confirms the start of their new touring car all-round talent in the VLN. 

Karl Mauer, Adam Opel AG former Director of Communications and VLN General Representative is happy about the engagement of the new grassroots sports product: “We are delighted to welcome Kissling Motorsport with their long-distance engagement in our new and very promising TCR class. I am convinced that, last but not least due to its variety in brands, the touring car class TCR will provide a new highlight in addition to the spectacular GT cars.” The driver duo in the car will be made up of DTM Champion Volker Strycek as well as Hannu Luostarinen from Finland. “We have tested the car at the Ring before the 24h Race. I had a very good feeling right away”, says Strycek and Luostarinen adds: “The tests were really good. I was immediately able to go the pace of our competitors. It will be hot this weekend at the Ring.”
