Land-Motorsport starts the new season with works support

Until the 24h Race in May, Land-Motorsport will compete in the long-distance races at the Nordschleife with two works-supported Audi R8 LMS which will be entered under the competitor “Audi Sport Team Land”. After the 24h Race, they will proceed as usual and continue in the VLN with “Montaplast by Land-Motorsport” as the competitor.

“We are already fully involved in the preparation. The test and set-up session on 18th of March is approaching as official opening of the season at the Nordschleife and we will be facing new challenges,” says team director Wolfgang Land. “We, as an experienced team with 22 overall wins in the VLN, will fully concentrate onto our intensive preparations for the works-supported participation in the 24h Race. The first two VLN races and the qualification race are definitely set on our calendar before the highlight at the Nordschleife in May.”

All of the six drivers of Land-Motorsport are experienced and have already been successful at the Nordschleife: Connor De Phillippi and Christopher Mies will be entered for the 24h Race as double starters in the two Audi R8 LMS. Christopher Haase and Pierre Kaffer will complete the cockpit of the Audi R8 LMS with start number 28. Markus Winkelhock and Kelvin van der Linde finally will support the two winners of the ADAC GT Masters 2016 in the cockpit with start number 29.

Due to clash of dates with other race series, the composition of the crews in the two first events will vary. After the 24h Race, the team plans to be at the start of the remaining VLN races with the regular drivers Connor De Phillippi and Christopher Mies, entered with the competitor ”Montaplast by Land-Motorsport“.
