Falken to enter a Porsche and a BMW in the 2017 VLN

Falken will be represented by two cars in the 2017 VLN endurance championship Nürburgring: In addition to the Porsche 911 GT3 R (type 991), well-known from last season, the team will also enter a BMW M6 GT3 in at least six VLN races.

The two GT3 race cars of Falken Motorsports will not only be on the grid in the VLN series but they will also participate in the 24h Race. Schnabl Engineering, the long-time partner of Falken, will again be responsible for the preparation and the service of the cars.

The BMW M6 GT3 will be driven by the two regular drivers Peter Dumbreck (who is about to celebrate his tenth year of service in the Falken team in 2017) and Alexandre Imperatori; the crew will be completed by works drivers Marco Seefried and Stef Dusseldorp. The cockpit in the Porsche will be shared by Falken driver Martin Ragginger as well as the Porsche works drivers Jörg Bergmeister, Dirk Werner and Laurens Vanthoor.

BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome with Falken Motorsport a new team to enter a BMW M6 GT3, a team which is moreover very well-known and well-respected. It becomes clear that the BMW M6 GT3 is and remains an attractive race car for our customers. In 2016 already, the top model in our range for customer sport has been able to demonstrate its great potential at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The Falken team has been able to satisfy itself of this already during a participation in a VLN race. We hope that we will be able to celebrate together many successes in the ‘Green Hell’ in 2017.”
