New design for the LifeCarRacing-BMW

The BMW M235i Racing Cup of Thomas Leyherr and Herbert von Danwitz attracted a lot of attention already throughout the last two years. For the new season, the team of LifeCarRacing will come up with some new details and with enhanced optical characteristics. The Cup racer, which will in 2017 again be serviced by Frikadelli Racing, will thus catch even more eyes in the paddocks and on the grandstands.

“Our wood look has been a true eye catcher in the past”, said Thomas Leyherr beginning of February during the presentation of the new car in the BMW branch in Saarbrücken. “But as we have many plans for the new season, it was now also time to update the design.” Leyherr and his partner Herbert von Danwitz have used the winter break for an extensive preparation to the 2017 VLN racing season. They have for example carried out in-depth studies of video materials and completed endless laps in the simulator.

Since the year 2015, Leyherr and von Danwitz have been fighting as a team in the competitive BMW brand cup which is part of the VLN endurance championship. They both have hereby constantly improved their performance, last season they ranked superiorly in the front mid-field of the Cup class. “It is our target for the new season to finish in top positions on a regular basis”, informs Leyherr about their strategy. “Both the drivers and the team are highly motivated and we can hardly wait to see the green start lights finally again at the Nordschleife on the 25th of March.”
