A highly motivated Rent2Drive-racing team will start the new VLN season with Christian Menzel

Rent2Drive-racing now takes the next step: After a successful VLN season in classes VT2 and SP6, the team with its headquarters at Döttingen nearby the Nürburgring will this year extend their engagement and also compete in class SP7. Dmitriy Lukovnikov, who has so far participated with an Aston Martin Vantage V8 in class SP10, will change to a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR. In this project, he will be supported by no other than Christian Menzel, a true expert in racing at the Nordschleife.

“The most important thing for me is that the chemistry is right”, says team principle David Ackermann. “We are very happy to welcome Christian in our team and wish to thank him for the confidence which he places in our young team. This is reason enough for us to work even better and more successfully. Our team will do their utmost to ensure that we will meet this standard.”

In addition to this major reinforcement, there are more news from the Rent2Drive racing team. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will start in class SP6 with regular drivers Jörg Wiskirchen and team principle David Ackermann; however, this year the multiple VLN class winner Marcel Belka, who has already competed in some races for Rent2Drive-racing, will join the team for the current season.

In class VT2, the two Renault Megane RS will also compete again in the VLN series. One car will be shared amongst the Italian drivers Graziano Grazzini, Stefano Croci and Alerardo Bertelli. Last but not least, last year’s class winner will also take part again: Together with Andrei Sidorenko, Axel Jahn will be behind the steering wheel of the second Megane of the team Rent2Drive-racing.
