Successful start of the season for Manthey-Racing

Mathey-Racing celebrated a brilliant second place at the Dubai 24h Race. The drivers in the Porsche 911 GT3 R, Porsche works driver Sven Müller, Porsche „Young Professional“ Matteo Cairoli as well as the two VLN experts Otto Klohs and Jochen Krumbach, were only beaten by their make colleagues of the Team Herberth Motorsport.

“To start my first season as Porsche works driver right away with a result on the podium is of course fantastic”, says a happy Sven Müller. “We have shown a very strong team performance. Towards the end of the race, we had a puncture and that is why we were finally not able to fight about the victory. But the second place is more than we would have expected.”

Events will follow in quick succession. On the last weekend of January, Müller and Cairoli will again be competing for Manthey-Racing. Their team mates at the Daytona 24h Race will be Steve Smith, Reinhold Renger and Harald Proczyk – all of them have a vast experience in racing at the Nordschleife who wish now to take up a new big challenge in the United States.

“At the latest since our test beginning of January at this fantastic race track, I am really excited and looking forward the event”, says Müller. “I can hardly wait to be at the start line. I have learned a lot at my first Daytona start last year and I hope that I can share my experience made there with my colleagues and that we will end up with a good result.”
