Nett-Motorsport changes with Peugeot to the new TCR class

In the season 2017, Achim and Jürgen Nett will compete in the new TCR class. The brothers will share the cockpit of a Peugeot 308 Racing Cup with Bradley Philpot from Great Britain.

“We are looking forward to the new challenge in the TCR class”, says Jürgen Nett. “In the last season already we had the opportunity to be part of Peugeot Sport’s test programme in the VLN. The car has shown great potential right from the beginning.” Achim Nett, too, has been enthusiastic about the performance of the compact sports model during a test session conducted in Mettet, Belgium.

The 31 years old Englishman Bradley Philpot, who participated together with the world-beating drivers in the 2015 Race of Champions, will support the team in 2017 as third regular driver. In each of the last two years, he was at the start of the 6h Race in the VLN endurance championship, once in a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport and once with a BMW 330i in the class of production cars. In 2013, he participated in three VLN races with a Peugeot 208 GTi as part of his preparation programme to the classical long-distance Nürburgring 24h Race in which he also competed together with Jürgen Nett.

The new TCR race car of the team will again be prepared for participation in the VLN by Bonk-Motorsport, just like the Peugeot 308 previously used in the class of VLN production cars. Additional support will be provided by Peugeot.
