The class Cup 1 – the Opel Astra OPC-Cup – will go into its fifth season 2017 with a new tyre partner. All the Opel GTC OPC race cars will run on Dunlop tyres. No modifications will be applied for any other provision in this single brand cup.
Since 2013, the about 320 HP strong Opel GTC OPC has been demonstrating its performance and suitability as long-distance touring car. As in the previous years, Kissling Motorsport will be responsible for the supply of components and for the technical support. The most successful team in the Cup is Lubner Motorsport. They took three out of the four Cup victories and provided the champion car in the years 2014, 2015 and 2016.
