Car Collection will enter new grounds in 2017

The Team Car Collection Motorsport intends to broaden its base for the coming VLN season. In addition to the Audi R8 LMS in the GT3 class, team manager Peter Schmidt is planning to enter cars in two addition classes at the Nürburgring Nordschleife for the year 2017. “Emphasis has so far been given to renting GT3 cars to Gentlemen Drivers. We wish to offer those customers another option now again. As we have been participating with up to five Porsche 911 GT3 Cup on a regular basis within the last years, it is only logical for us to go back to our roots”, says Schmidt who, for this reason, wishes to realise the additional entry for at least one Porsche GT3 911 Cup in class SP7 or in the Cup2 class.

Along with the GT cars, the team will explore new ground in the touring car category as well. At least one brand new Audi RS 3 LMS (TCR) is scheduled to start in the VLN races. The latest customer sports model of Audi Sport customer racing is fitted with a two-cylinder TFSI engine figuring about 330 HP. It can be accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.5 seconds.
