Full programme for Stippler and Fjordbach

In the year 2016, Phoenix Racing will again be fully committed in many motorsport series. The participation in the VLN endurance racing championship of course is a mandatory part of the programme scheduled by the team which is based in Meuspath, just a stone’s throw away from the Nordschleife. In the coming season, Phoenix Racing will enter the new generation of the Audi R8 LMS in all of the ten rounds at the Nordschleife. Not only in relation to race cars will team manager Ernst Moser and his team hereby revert to well-proven power. The drivers of the Phoenix team, too, have already demonstrated their skills in the VLN series on many occasions.

Frank Stippler and Anders Fjordbach will be sitting in the cockpit of the Audi which is designed in the colours of Scherer and TÜV Rheinland at all of the ten VLN races. Whilst Stippler is one of the drivers in the team who is very experienced in racing at the Nordschleife, Fjordbach will now start his third season and the second one for Phoenix. In 2015, the race driver from Hamburg competed in three races at the Nürburgring with the Phoenix-GT3. The 25 years old is now supposed to prevail over the other competitors in the VLN, with the support of Stippler’ experience.

In addition to the VLN races, both drivers will also participate in the 24h race for which Phoenix Racing will enter two Audi. One of these will be driven by Frank Stippler, Christopher Haase, René Rast and Markus Winkelhock who will definitely try to win the classical long distance race. After 2000, 2003, 2012 and 2014, this would be the fifth Phoenix success at the marathon race in the Eifel region. Stippler and Fjordbach in the sister car will be supported by two additional drivers who are not nominated yet.
