VLN-Comeback of Land-Motorsport

Land-Motorsport will return to the VLN endurance racing championship. Up to the year 2010, the team from the Westerwald, a low mountain range on the right bank of the river Rhine, had been one of the regular starters in the VLN and attracted a lot of attention in particular with the ‘Bilstein-Porsche’. Between 2004 and 2008, the yellow-blue race car scored not less than 19 overall wins at the Nordschleife. After a five years break, team manager Wolfgang Land is now breaking new grounds. Land-Motorsport will enter a new Audi R8 LMS in the VLN and in the 24h Race.

“We are really proud to come back to the VLN after a break of several years. We are additionally motived by the challenge that is provided with the 24h Race”, says Wolfgang Land full of anticipation regarding their programme in 2016. The cockpit of the new racing car will figure top-class drivers. Marc Basseng and Connor De Phillippi will race around the Nordschleife in the new Audi. For the 24h Race, they will be supported by two additional drivers. Wolfgang Land: “We are in contact with some drivers who have in the past already competed for Land-Motorsport in the ‘green hell’ at the 24 Hours.”
