The team of Raceunion Teichmann Racing (RTR) has been very successful in the last VLN season and wishes to continue in 2016 from where it stopped in October 2015. Since weeks, the preparations are running at full speed. Just like many other teams, the crew which is based in Adenau intends to take up the challenge in the Cayman GT4 Trophy which will be organised for the first time. In addition to the two new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Teichmann will enter three race cars in the Cayman GT4 Trophy. Team manager Robin Selbach: “We have definitely not acquired the cars to race far behind the field. We have contracted top drivers for two of the Caymans and wish to achieve top places in this class. We are also perfectly prepared for the fights in class SP7 and to gain one or another position on the podium.”
This is the target amongst others for regular driver Marc Hennerici together with Moritz Oberheim who is new in the team. They both wish to fight for the Cup win in the Cayman GT4 Trophy, just as their team mates Marcel Hoppe and Moritz Gusenbauer, also a newcomer in the team. The driver team for the third Cayman GT4 is not nominated yet.
Regular driver Alex Autumn, too, who will alternatively compete in the Porsche GT3 Cup in class SP7 or in the 997 GT3 in group H, is highly motivated. He has been able to improve his lap times considerably in the last season and is thus confident to achieve top results in each of the 2016 VLN races. “Airgee” has been with the Teichmann team since 2013 and will be supported by Milan Kodidek who joins the team for the first time this year. Their target in the Rodopi-Porsche GT3 Cup is a position on the podium in class SP7.
Moreover, Christian Menzel will this season also support the RTR Team: “It is still completely open whether I will compete in races. However, I wish to focus on looking after the drivers in the team, to coach them and to support them in their training. It must be our clear target to win the new Porsche Cayman-Trophy. I am absolutely ready to give everything for our drivers. I really like the team and the staff working for the team.” Selbach adds: “We have ambitious plans and we have put together a strong team that is working hard to achieve the targets that we have set. We can hardly wait to start the new season and are currently already testing at the Ascari Race Resort in the South of Spain.“
In addition to the participations in the VLN and at the Nürburgring 24h Race, RTR will also enter cars in the DMV GTC, the FHR Langstreckencup as well as in the Radical Sports Cup.
