Sartorius Team Black Falcon aims at defending its title

At the start of their fourth season in the BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring, the Sartorius Team Black Falcon finds itself in a new situation: The one to defend their title.

A special significance in two ways will hereby be accorded to the start number 1 which can be found on one of the seven BMW entered by Black Falcon in 2009. Both the current Endurance Race Champion Alex Böhm and the current Junior Champion Christer Jöns will share the cockpit and the team will be completed by another very quick driver, Sean Paul Breslin. The race car and hence the class were however changed as the title holders will in 2009 fight for victories in a newly prepared BMW Z4 3.0 si in class V5 open to series cars. Alex Böhm: “After our victory of the 2008 Championship, we wish to take up a new challenge again this year. There will be a tough competition in the class up to three litres and we have so decided to start in a V5 series car. The BMW Z4 was newly prepared in our premises during winter time and I am pretty sure that we have chosen the right car to defend our title.”

Apart from another Z4 in class V5 and a 325i in class V4, Black Falcon will also enter a BMW M3 E46 in class V6 of the “big” series cars. Amongst the Specials, two BMW M3 E46 CSL will certainly be an enrichment to class SP6, with Maik Rosenberg, Andrew Baughan and Ralf Willems as drivers in one of these two race cars. And a competitive BMW M3 E92 with drivers Dillon Koster, Bona Ventura and Diego Ramanini will definitely be amongst the pace makers in class SP7.
