Dörr Motorsport intends to participate in eleven races of the season 2009. Ten of these events are part of the BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring calendar and the eleventh round for the Hessian racing team shall be the 24h Race in the “Green Hell”. Currently, the race cars and the drivers remain to be finally nominated but it is confirmed that Dörr Motorsport will regularly take part with its two top race cars, the BMW Z4 Coupé and the “Phantom” BMW 130i.
The Coupé will this year again be driven by Rudi Adams and Marco Schelp. The names of the third and possibly fourth drivers will be communicated by the team in due time. The second BMW, the “Phantom”, will be regularly driven by Willi Friedrichs and Thomas Frank whereas drivers number three and four for this race car also remain to be nominated.
”In the first instance, we are fully concentrated on the two top cars, that is why we take our time to finally decide on the drivers. Before the final nomination on who shall drive our race cars, we will carry out extensive tests”, explains Jörg Ullmann, Technical Director of Dörr Motorsport.
