Within the scope of a special show under the heading “Alternative Drive Technologies”, the most popular sports series in Europe should of course not be missing as, indeed, it offers a perfect platform for the presentation of environmentally friendly motor sports. 17.000 visitors from over 30 countries came to Essen for the three days E-world 2009.

“With our engagement at the E-World 2009, we were able to reach a wide audience and communicate that the BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring provides an excellent base for the use of alternative fuels in motor sports”, says Robert Rust, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring Organising Committee. “Since almost ten years, there has been a regular participation of race cars running on bio diesel, bio ethanol, natural gas and with hybrid technology in our Championship and we plan to extend our leading role in this field in the future. In order to achieve this target, we have made some important contacts in discussions with the trade visitors.”
