Black Falcon managed to complete 628 laps (3,385 km) and thus established a new record distance. This was the first 24h victory for the Mercedes SLS AMG GT 3, only one year after it made its 24h debut in the desert of Dubai. The three VLN champions Carsten Knechtges, Manuel Metzger and Tim Scheerbarth of the Team Black Falcon finished as best German team and were highly celebrated when they received the awards for their eighth position in the classification for BMW private drivers at the premises of BMW in Munich. The winner is Paul Dalla Lana from Canada who competed in more than 23 events in the United States with a BMW. In addition to the Black Falcon juniors, Mario Merten (position 12) and Wolf Silvester (position 16) from amongst the VLN drivers also received trophies.
