Every year, more than 300,000 visitors come to the Essen Motor Show – Europe’s most important show for tuning, motorsport, competition production cars, classic cars and motorcycles. Between the 26th November and the 4th December (trade visitor day is the 25th November), more than 550 exhibitors make the hearts of all passionate car lovers beat faster. The VLN endurance championship Nürburgring is of course also represented at the Essen Motor Show with a huge stand. The 60 square metres large exhibition area in hall 6.0, stand A100, is designed in the form of the Nürburgring pit lane and represents traditionally an important point of contact for fans and participant.
One of the eye-catchers for the visitors of the VLN stand is the champion car of the season 2016 – the BMW M235i Racing Cup of Alexander Mies and Michael Schrey who took the title with the team of Bonk Motorsport. The Porsche Cayman GT4 of Marc Hennerici and Moritz Oberheim will furthermore be displayed. They both won the Cayman GT4 Trophy by Manthey-Racing which was introduced in the VLN in the current year. Farnbach-Racing will moreover present its Lexus RC-F GT Prototype, the development car of the Japanese manufacturer for their GT3 race car which is expected to be launched shortly.
The VLN stand is above all an information point where almost all kind of questions regarding the VLN season 2017 are answered; technical staff will be available to explain to current and potentially new participants – but also to interested fans – the amendments in the regulations introduced for the season 2017. The Sporting Regulations for the season 2017 will furthermore be available and the free VLN Manual 2017 with a summary of all interesting and basic information, backgrounds and regulation modifications for the coming year at the Nürburgring Nordschleife will be available.
Anyone who wishes to revue the past VLN season will be able to do so with a highlight video shown on one of the “pit lane” screens. Those who are still looking for some Christmas gifts may also find what they need at the VLN show stand. From T-shirt to key chain – there is something that suits everyone in the merchandising collection.
